About Northville Council of PTAs

Northville Council of PTAs will provide and participate in programs and activities that will benefit children directly or indirectly. The council will continue its commitment to the following programs as well as others:

Junior Enrichment Series provide grade level and school wide assemblies that enhance/augment curriculum instruction for all students attending Northville Public Schools.

Advocacy is a standing committee of the Northville Council of PTAs. Advocacy’s goal is to protect the interests of our children’s education in Lansing and Washington in a non-partisan approach. To accomplish this, Advocacy members:

  • Inform parents about important education issues “percolating” at the state or federal level
  • Encourage people to contact legislators to make sure their voice is heard
  • Mobilize advocacy for issues that impact the quality of our children’s education

Parent Awareness coordinates and/or sponsors community wide speakers on relevant and timely topics that will help parents handle parenting issues. Events will take place throughout the year and information will be made available to all in the community.

Reflections provide all children kindergarten through twelfth grade an opportunity to participate in the PTA annual arts Reflections Programs. Students are encouraged to submit their work in one of the following categories: Film/Video Production, Dance, Choreography, Musical Composition, Photography, Visual Arts and Literature.

The mission of the Northville Council of Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) is to provide a forum for discussion of child-related issues, to communicate ideas, to coordinate common building level programs and to promote parent education.
