About Northville Township Public Safety

Focusing on safety in the community, our team is dedicated to continuous improvement. In 2018 Fire Services significantly improved our ISO rating through an improved Public Protection Classification placing our department into the top 1% in the State of Michigan. Our paramedics through their Advanced Life Support (ALS) training lead the state in cardiac care survival rate. Our dispatchers, understanding the necessity for rapid responses on emergency calls are answering all phone calls within the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) guidelines and provide pre-arrival instruction until police or fire personnel arrive on scene. Our police department was the first agency in the State to apply for Accreditation through the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police receiving Accredited status in February of 2018. Our Detective Bureau in partnership with the Michigan State Police provides computer forensic exam services to Northville Township Police Department as well as other Law Enforcement Agencies in Western Wayne County.
